Where to Buy Sushi Bake in Manila: Ray Ray’s!

If there’s one thing I’ve been following a lot during the quarantine (aside from PH Coronavirus Updates on Telegram)—it’s all the food trends that emerged left and right, thanks to the creativity and talent of home chefs and bakers! I’ve tried my own version of Dalgona coffee, ordered chocolate chip cookies from a couple of home baker friends, and even learned to upgrade canned goods to give it a different twist.

But one mouth-watering trend I can’t get enough of is sushi bake—especially because Japanese cuisine is my ultimate favorite! I’ve been seeing sushi bake trays all over social media, and just when I was considering to order for myself, a friend and ultimate frisbee teammate, Ray Ray, reached out and asked if he could send one over for me to try!

He sent a large tray of his Kani Kama, which was good enough for 3-4 people. But because I enjoyed it so much, I ate 1/4 of the tray just for merienda. Haha! It was rich in flavor, didn’t leave you with an umay feeling, and was topped generously with kani—all for just P600! (I already ordered a second tray from him for this weekend.)

Aside from the Kani Kama, he also has Salmon Aburi. And he’s constantly coming up with new recipes—the latest is the Uni Butter Aburi!
