The Relaunch of Ysabel’s Daughter
How many times have we heard about a brand or a product that claims to be 100% natural and organic? We hear of these brands a lot, especially on TV, radio, or social media, but sometimes you have to question whether or not the products they make available to the market really contain all-organic or all-natural ingredients. Many of these brands still use synthetics, and if there’s one thing I learned from Coty Cruz last Friday in F1 Manila Hotel, it’s that you have to think about what you feed your skin—because what you feed your skin will ultimately reflect in your disposition.
This is where Ysabel’s Daughter comes in. It all started in Coty’s dining room which she turned into her personal laboratory, where she would concoct bath soaps and lotions using ingredients she picked out from her very own backyard. In fact, she grows her own bees and pushed herself to use honey as the base ingredient in all her products. Back then, the products were for her own use or gifts she would give to friends. Eventually, friends kept calling to request for more and even asked her to turn it into a business. Thanks to word-of-mouth, the brand grew, and on December 8, 2011, Coty finally opened Ysabel’s Daugther to the market, selling her products in small bazaars.
The brand was named after Coty’s mother, who raised her with unconditional love. Coty wanted to translate that same kind of love into her products, which is why she works hard every night to develop and improve her recipes. The name Ysabel also represents all kind of women who are inspirational, empowered, nurturing, confident, and tries to protect the earth and the environment.
More than creating quality products that are good for the skin, Coty hopes to promote wellness and a healthy lifestyle. This is especially true when I met her during the relaunch of Ysabel’s Daughter last Friday—Coty looked youthful, happy, and healthy as she introduced us to her youngest son and her nephew, Karl, who also happens to be her business partner. She also briefly introduced the brand, before talking about their new products: Coffea Arabica Soap (you can smell the goodness even without opening the packaging), and Green Apple Slimming Lotion.
With Micah, Coty, and Karl of Ysabel’s Daughter
I’m really excited to be trying out their products. They smell so delicious, and feel great on my skin. Marketing Officer, Micah Lima, shared with me her personal favorites and I look forward to seeing the effects of feeding my body with all-natural products.
