Yesterday, I attended a career talk on the possible jobs one can get from a course in Creative Writing. It was both depressing and inspiring. One thing the speaker, Carlo Joe Javier, said that struck me was how our country is not a reading public. If you look at all the locations of bookstores like National Bookstore, Fully Booked and Powerbooks, it definitely says a lot about who has access to them. I wish I can do something about it, so everyone can really appreciate books and start reading a whole lot. After all, pens are more powerful than guns.
