The New Normal Makeup Look with Teviant, Airoptix, and Freshlook

With everyone slowly trying to bounce back from the ongoing COVID-19, which undoubtedly still affects businesses to this day, I recently had a unique experience of attending an e-vent hosted by Teviant, Freshlook, and Airoptix via Zoom. Together with other beauty bloggers and content creators, we learned really helpful tips from celebrity makeup artist and Teviant founder, Albert Kurniawan, on how to enhance your eye makeup look—since masks tend to cover the rest of the face. Dr. Jeanette Oo was also part of the session, and shared a presentation on proper contact lens wear and care.

Dr. Jeanette highlighted that there is currently no scientific evidence that contact lens wearers have an increased risk of contracting COVID-19. What’s important is practicing good hygiene, cleaning your contact lenses properly, and of course—washing your hands before wearing or removing your contact lenses.

Right before the e-vent, I wore the Freshlook One-Day Color in Pure Hazel, and did a quick makeup look using three Teviant products: Eyebrow Gel in Dame on my brows, Lip Spell in the shade Haute on my lids, cheeks, and lips, and Eye Pencil in Coquette to add a pop of color. I’m not normally one to wear colors outside of the nude and neutral spectrum, but with everything that’s been going on, I felt like playing around with makeup I’m not used to was a way to help me cope with the anxiety that the pandemic and our government tend to bring.

It was definitely a fun afternoon of breaking away from my usual routine in the condo (where I normally just write, do chores, or play with Booboo and Bellatrix), and spending time with others who love makeup as much as I do.
