The First Ever E! Bloggers Ball
When it comes to the idea of attending balls, I absolutely get giddy just thinking about what I’m going to wear and what makeup look I’ll be sporting. This is usually my mood when I know the Cupcake is coming with me—because if there’s one thing about me and attending events, I get extremely shy around people and tend to cower inside my little shell. Being invited to the first ever E! Bloggers Ball got me all excited—until I found out a few days before the event that the Cupcake had a sudden business trip outside of the country, which meant he couldn’t go.
But I told myself that I needed to push myself outside of my comfort zone, so literally a day before the ball, I put together random pieces from my closet and came up with a last-minute ensemble. This video is proof that I embraced the situation with confidence, despite how awkward I felt and looked!
So what exactly is the E! Bloggers Ball all about? Well, September is supposedly the busiest month for fashion all around the world, with the biggest and most-anticipated runway shows happening in New York, London, Paris and Milan. ‘It’ Girls like Kendall Jenner and Gigi Hadid are spotted and stalked by photographers, and E! as your biggest source for Hollywood news and fashion trends, is at the forefront of celebrating September as The Fashion Month.
Gathering today’s top bloggers, vloggers, personalities and representatives from the fashion and beauty industry, the first ever E! Bloggers Ball in all of Southeast Asia was held in the massive Grand Ballroom of City of Dreams in Pasay City, where guests sashayed down the long red carpet that led to the classy set-up of black, white and gold inside the main reception hall.
With the theme Sparkle, guests were treated to a fun evening ala Hollywood style, with a talk about fashion and trends by Metro Magazine Editor-In-Chief and super model Sarah Meier. Nine special awards were also awarded during the evening through the help of the following judges: Fashion Creative Director Vince Uy, Features and Shades General Manager Mr. Edmon Go, Jamie Pizarro representing Sun Life, and Lystra Aranal of Clozette.
It was definitely a lot of fun—I enjoyed the food and catching up with Phylicia of phyliciamarie.com. What do you guys think of my attempt at being fasyown? Haha!
