Tagaytay Staycation for Our Whole Family
Hi, everyone! Welcome to Greta’s Junkyard. If you’re new here, my name is Gretchen Gatan Fragada. I’m a writer and managing editor based in Metro Manila, Philippines. I’m also a wife to Cayo and a first-time mom to a beautiful daughter named Cambria. Greta’s Junkyard serves as a dump of articles related to beauty, travel, lifestyle, and more. It’s also where I like to document the many milestones in my life! Recently, my whole family and I had a Tagaytay staycation in Hotel Kimberly. And it was such a fun and unforgettable weekend for all of us!
The Last Time We Had a Tagaytay Staycation
The last time we booked a stay in Hotel Kimberly Tagaytay, Cambria was less than a year old and couldn’t appreciate the toddler activities as much. But Cayo and I had such a memorable time with her, and I told myself I really wanted to go back with my whole family—especially Cambria and her cousin (my goddaughter), Kara.

Since we have two April celebrants (my mom and brother) and two May celebrants (my dad and cousin), I decided to surprise everyone by booking two Premier Family rooms as a joint birthday gift!

A Similar Itinerary
We had a similar itinerary as last time. Before checking in, we had lunch at Charito by Bag of Beans. Then we headed to Hotel Kimberly, settled in our rooms, played in the game room, fed farm animals, swam, roasted marshmallows during the bonfire, and watched an outdoor movie while eating dinner. The next day, we enjoyed the breakfast buffet, swam again, packed up, then headed to Hillbarn for lunch.

This time around, Cambria and Kara were both big enough to enjoy everything. Their giddy screams and laughter filled our weekend. And I just really want to create more memories like that!

Why I Recommend Hotel Kimberly for Your Next Tagaytay Staycation
I first discovered Hotel Kimberly Tagaytay from a friend who posted about their family’s experience and who also has a daughter the same age as Cambria. During our first time staying at the hotel where we booked a Deluxe Room, it amazed me and Cayo how incredibly attentive and friendly their staff was. From checking if we needed towels while we were swimming to greeting us and saying hello to Cambria every time we passed, it’s really a family-friendly getaway.
This time around, we stayed in a Premier Family Room. And I was able to compare the difference. Their Premier Family Rooms are much bigger and felt more comfortable. We were also situated on the second floor. So access was more convenient since we didn’t need to use the elevator! And though the hotel isn’t brand new, its activities, amenities, and service remain exceptional. I think that more than makes up for it!
