If there’s one word to describe my sense of style, it would most definitely be “laid back”. On most days, I prefer to just wear a simple pair of jeans and a shirt, topped off with a couple of sandals or ballet flats. But on days when I do feel like dressing up, I like to wear skirts and dresses for a change. I guess being laid back stems from me being an athlete almost my whole life — after training or games, I just slip on comfortable clothes and get on with the rest of my day. I’m also more of a homebody, so I’m used to wearing just an oversized shirt and boxers. But growing up in a family full of beautiful women, where my aunts love to shop and keep up with the latest trends and where my sister and cousins like to plan cute outfits and style each other, it’s inevitable that I’m influenced by their love for fashion as well.

I tend to lean more towards the simple yet classic look, so I do wear a lot of little black dresses with pearls, white blouses with jeans and heels, and I’m very minimal when it comes to accessories. However, this 2012 seems to be a very exciting and promising year — therefore, I made it one of my resolutions to take more risks when it comes to fashion. Having modeled for distinguished Filipino designer Dita Sandico-Ong, whose Pinoy-themed wraps are breathtakingly unique and wish to bring out the Modern Filipina, and Pepe Jeans London, who has made quite a name for itself in the fashion industry, has inspired me to get out of my comfort zone and try new things, including and most especially my sense of style. Being given the opportunity to work for CollegeFashionista will definitely aid as well.
