Social Savvy’s the Printster: Print Your Instagram Photos at Your Events!

Last month, while I was scouting for photo booths for my sister’s 18th birthday, a soon-to-be-married ultimate frisbee teammate mentioned that she discovered a photo company that grabs the photos of your events from Instagram, and prints them out then and there. Incidentally, when I attended Style Bible’s Virtual Style Awards at Club Haze last October 3 (You can read the article here.), I came across Social Savvy, a creative social media agency that creates, curates and designs social media experiences.

I was able to get in touch with Rosanna and Miguel Aranaz—the genius minds behind the Printster, which has been printing Instagram photos before it even became mainstream.

So how does Social Savvy’s the Printster work?

It’s really simple.

1. All you need to do is take photos of you and your friends on Instagram. (Make sure your account is public.)

2. Tag it with the event’s hashtag. For my sister’s 18th birthday party, she used #GG18.

3. Then wait for the Printster to print the photo out on a customized template!

The concept was really something I fell in love with. What better way to immortalize memories and events than to print out photos straight out of your Instagram account? The effects and filters can even make the pictures look like polaroids.
