SM Beauty Lipstick Festival 2016

In case you missed the exciting festival that took place in SM Makati last July 29, which happened to be International Lipstick Day, don’t worry! SM’s first wave of promotions is happening until August 24, and will be having a second wave of lipstick promotions this September. Yes, that’s two months of exclusive perks and discounts when you shop at SM Beauty!

But before I talk about the different promotions, can I just share how cute the setup was at SM Makati last July 29? It was a haven of giant lipsticks and lipstick-shaped cupcakes and cotton candy, and the crowd was going crazy over the different beauty brands available in the department store, including Maybelline, L’Oreal, Revlon, Pixi by Petra, Ofra Cosmetics, POP Beauty, BYS Cosmetics, NYX Cosmetics, and Sleek (just to name a few).

As a self-confessed closet beauty junkie when I was in high school, I used to collect all kinds of lip balms both from here and in countries I’ve visited. Eventually, this slight obsession included lipsticks. Even if I didn’t need another tube in my makeup kit, I always needed to get my hands on another shade! Lipsticks are one of the easiest ways to play up your look—even if you’re not a kikay girl! A lippie’s transformative power encompasses many layers of a woman’s outlook in life. Be it a confidence boost or an artful expression, a swipe of the lip can harness a presence that helps empower the modern Filipina.
