The Best Pet Food Brand: Unboxing with Royal Canin

As a very passionate pet parent, I only want the best for both Booboo and Bellatrix. Part of that is feeding them the best pet food brand available in the market, and for me, that’s Royal Canin.

I’ve been feeding them Royal Canin for a few years now. Aside from reading good reviews online, it was highly recommended by their vet.

We made the shift because Booboo, our Shih Tzu, was slowly entering his senior dog stage, while Bellatrix, our Persian Doll Face, has always been an indoor cat and we wanted something more fit for her breed and lifestyle.

Royal Canin’s Breed Specific Line addressed these needs. It was an easy switch because Booboo and Bellatrix liked their respective food right away!

Booboo eats his meals twice a day. I feed him late in the morning, and then again during dinner. Sometimes, I give him a treat late in the evening to prevent him from throwing up bile early in the morning. (This tends to happen at his age.) Meanwhile, Bellatrix prefers eating small frequent meals a day, so we just “free feed” her dry food by leaving a semi-automatic feeder near her water fountain. On some days, she prefers wet food. These are the moments we “meal feed” her.
