Private Suites at The Spa, Shangri-la Mall
While everyone I knew was either at the 7107 concert in Clark or the ultimate beach tournament in La Union, I spent the entire weekend catching up on sleep and getting a pampering session at The Spa, Shangri-la Mall—thanks to a number of special treats they gave me the last time I visited.
What I love about them is how accommodating they are—two days before my massage, I booked a slot for Saturday afternoon. They quickly responded and confirmed my reservation. Because I got more curious about the rest of their services (I always get the Traditional Hilot massage which uses virgin coconut oil. Highlight on the word coconut), I decided to call and ask about their other massages. So instead of my usual, I got the Aromatherapy Massage and chose Peppermint as my oil.
Unlike The Spa branch I’m used to in Libis, The Spa in Shangri-la Mall has private suites that really make you feel like a queen.
As soon as I entered my suite, my therapist prepared my Jacuzzi and toured me around the exquisite, little room. I was provided with a small locker for my things. The vanity area was complete with a hair dryer, a tooth care kit, a shower cap, a brush, disposable underwear, lotion, powder, and hair gel. They serve you the Ginger Tea inside, which was the only downside to having a private suite because I would have to keep buzzing my therapist to refill my cup—and I was too shy, so I ended up only drinking one cup before my massage.
The shower area was a makeshift sauna, which I found so cool. But since I’m not so fond of steam rooms (I was scared I might have a hard time breathing), I made myself comfortable in the Jacuzzi instead. (I have a confession to make: I played around with the liquid soap that came with the Jacuzzi and I accidentally turned it into quite a messy bubble bath. Good thing I was able to control the rise of the bubbles before it hit the floor.)
The massage, which was very similar to a classic Swedish massage, made me feel light as air—all the stress, the heaviness, and the little everyday things that bothered me magically disappeared, and all that mattered was that moment and that moment alone. All sixty minutes of it.
When I was done, my therapist served me another brew of Ginger Tea. I rested for ten minutes before I took a shower and changed back into my clothes. I wanted to be conscious about the time because I wasn’t sure if someone else had booked the suite.
I guess that’s the difference of having a common area like the one in Libis, where you can use the saunas and Jacuzzi much longer even after your massage.
Still, I loved having a room all to myself. It was much more relaxing, and I really couldn’t help but indulge. I can’t wait to go back already.

Hi, Kimmy! I’m not sure about the exact price because The Spa only treated me but I think it’s safe to bring around 2k if you plan to get any of their massages. 🙂 I suggest you call them up or text them at 0927-3089850. Advanced Happy Birthday, by the way! 🙂
