Pretty Little Ribbons
I’ve probably mentioned way too many times how much I love dresses and how I really enjoy seeing them being worn around campus, especially when the designs and prints of the dress appeal to my taste, are quirky and eye-catching. Another example of such would be this cute Fashionista, donned in a dark blue mini dress with sheer sleeves and little pink ribbons.
She definitely caught my attention as she meekly agreed to pose for the camera. Pairing the dress with basic red flats projected a more classic look that downplayed a very noticeable garment. The big tote bag almost matches the dress, playing around with the sometimes risky technique of mixing prints. But in this getup, it surely works.
Ribbons have always been a classic way of dressing up any ensemble. One of my favorite fictional characters of all time, Blair Waldorf from Gossip Girl series, used to love wearing them on herheadbands when she still studied in Constance High with her best friend and equally fashionable Serena van der Woodsen. Whether a print design on the garment or an embellishment or accessory to doll up your getup, ribbons — when worn stylishly and in the right way — will always be a timeless trend that can definitely do wonders on your look.
