Pixi by Petra’s 2015 Fall Collection Now Available at Glamourbox

I’ve been looking forward to this event since us #PixiGirls started planning it a few weeks ago, because it highlights two exciting things: the newest collection from Pixi by Petra (which includes H20 Skintint, Colour Correcting Foundation Powder, Natural Contour Powder, Endless Brow Gel Pen, Mesmerizing Mineral Palette in Mineral Contour, and Mattelustre Lipsticks) and the highly-anticipated cult-fave product in the UK, the Glow Tonic.

Imagine how much I squealed in delight when I found out about a month ago that the Glow Tonic is finally arriving here. It was originally made exclusive for the UK market—but because of the increasing demand in other countries (all thanks to beauty bloggers in the UK who wouldn’t stop raving about it), Pixi finally produced more and brought it to Target stores in the US (where Pixi is available) and finally, here in the Philippines.

For those who are curious, what exactly is the fuss about Pixi’s Glow Tonic (Php 1,590)? Honestly, I have yet to try it but the reason I’ve been so excited is because of the many positive reviews I’ve read (I don’t think I’ve even seen a negative review yet) and because Filipinas who are familiar with the brand have been asking for it non-stop!

Infused with glycolic acid that exfoliates, ginseng to improve circulation and energize the face, aloe vera that soothes and hydrates the skin, and fructose and sucrose to brighten it up, Pixi’s Glow Tonic stays true to its promise of helping you achieve clearer, smoother, more even, and healthier-looking skin. It’s an exfoliating facial toner that gently accelerates cell renewal—revealing a brighter and glowing complexion! It sounds like an elixir inside a simple, orange bottle.

Aside from the Glow Tonic, Pixi’s 2015 fall collection is now available at Glamourbox. Just a quick run-through of the new products, and what I think of each:

1. H20 Skintint – Php 1,190

I’ve been using this water-based tinted facial gel lately (Shade No. 1 in Cream), because unlike foundation, the feeling is weightless and it gives such a flawless finish. It suits all skin types, which is great for someone with sensitive skin like me. Made with green tea to provide antioxidants, rose water to hydrate, and lavender to soothe skin, it gives a healthy-looking “no makeup” makeup look that lasts all day.

2. Colour Correcting Powder Foundation – Php 995

To set the H20 Skintint (especially because I have oily skin), I use this because of its flawless matte finish. I also like that it contains coffee extract to help boost circulation and energize the skin.

3. Natural Contour Powder – Php 995

This one contains coffee extract as well! I found myself using it more than any other contour powder, because the shade is just perfect. It creates a subtle shadow effect regardless of skin tone, so it’s much easier to sculpt and contour the face.

4. Endless Brow Gel Pen – Php 590

The key ingredient you have to remember here is that it has panthenol, which strengthens brow hair. The unique gel-texture allows it to last all day and makes it easy to define and shape brows in one step.

5. Mesmerizing Mineral Palette in Mineral Contour – Php 620

I’ve always been a huge fan of Pixi’s Mesmerizing Mineral Palettes. They’re highly pigmented, easy to mix, match, and blend, and they’re really affordable! It’s an even better alternative than most eye palettes out there. For a while, I loved alternating Copper Peach and Rich Gold but then Pinkoolaid introduced me to Plum Quartz. These past few days, I’ve been playing with the Mineral Contour.

6. Mattelustre Lipstick – Php 630

When you see the entire collection, you’ll have such a hard time choosing which color to try first because they’re all so gorgeous. They’re richly-colored with nourishing ingredients and a demi-matte finish. What better way to complete a fresh and flawless FOTD?
