Here’s an article I’ve been itching to write, but had to wait a while else I might have spoiled the official launch for everyone. Haha! Of the four brands exclusively distributed by Glamourbox, Pixi by Petra is one of my favorites because of their beauty philosophy which is Makeup to Wakeup. Apart from creating makeup products that are multi-purpose and can easily make you look fresh, flawless and pulled together in five minutes, all of Pixi’s products are skin-loving and treat the skin as you wear them!
So naturally, when I first heard that they were launching their 2015 Spring/Summer Collection sometime in April, I couldn’t wait to get my hands on them. Luckily, I was given some samples to take home including the Brow Powder Palette (Php 750), Lip Lift Max (Php 790), Endless Silky Eye Intensify Duo in Brown (Php 890), and the much-anticipated Glow Mist (Php 950).
What I noticed right away was the packaging, because it seemed more luxe than usual. I tried swatching the Brow Powder Palette first (because yes, brows) and the application is light enough that you can easily build it up. It comes in six shades so if you have a tendency to change your hair color often, this conveniently provides you with color options for your brows, too. I also like that it can double as a matte eye shadow. Between matte and shimmery, I’m more of a matte eye shadow kind of girl so it’s perfect that the Brow Powder Palette can give me that alternative.

The Glow Mist is a very popular product because of it’s cousin, the Glow Tonic (which unfortunately isn’t available in the Philippines yet). And what makes the Glow Mist in-demand is it makes a great alternative for Pixi by Petra’s Glow Tonic. It contains aloe vera (which soothes, moisturizes, and heals the skin), propolis (which is created by bees from the resin of trees, and has the power to disinfect and prevent outbreaks of viruses and bacteria), and argan oil (which tones the skin, moisturizes, exfoliates, and prevents acne). You can use it to prep the face before applying makeup, and to give you a dewy, glowing look. It can also be used in the middle of the day, if your face needs a little refreshing.
The Lip Lift Max has a very similar formula to POP Beauty’s Plump Pout, because it also contains lip-plumping peptides, avocado, and jojoba oils which make the lips appear fuller. The only difference is that it comes in a clear color (unlike the Plump Pout, which has four variants). You can easily top your regular lipstick with the Lip Lift Max to achieve Kylie Jenner lips.

The Endless Silky Eye Intensify Duo is basically just two Endless Silky Eye Pens combined in one. However, I noticed that the regular Endless Silky Eye Pen has a softer and creamier texture which makes it really easy to smudge and turn into an eye shadow. Not saying that the Endless Silky Eye Intensify Duo isn’t soft and creamy because it is, too! It just has a firmer texture, so it’s easier to line lids or tight line.

Part of the 2015 Spring Summer collection is the Palette Bronzette (Php 1,600), Makeup Fixing Mist (Php 950), and Endless Silky Eye Intensify Duo in Blue (Php 890). All seven products are available in Glamourbox Landmark Trinoma, Purebeauty Trinoma, Purebeauty Serendra, Purebeauty Glorietta, CommonThread Power Plant, and CommonThread Greenbelt.
