Palm Beach Resort in Laiya: Our Company Outing!
The last time I visited Laiya, Batangas was when I got stung by a jellyfish. But nothing could stop me from swimming in the waters of Palm Beach Resort as soon as we arrived last week for our company outing. Everything from the comfortable cabanas to the chic rooms, to the breathtaking view. Even the delicious food made our stay a pleasurable experience.

As soon as our bus parked in the parking lot, a couple of golf carts fetched us and brought us down to the main area.
Check-in was at 1pm, but since we arrived two hours early, we stayed in our cabana first. A few of us killed time by swimming already.

They had two pools: one for the day trip visitors and one for the overnight guests. Both have kiddie pools and jacuzzis.

Casita Royale at Palm Beach Resort
Here’s a quick peek at our room in Casita Royale. Casita Royale is filled with spacious, hotel-like rooms. Aside from two double beds, we had a daybed inside. Even our shower area was huge—large enough to fit five people. The toilet area is in a separate space just right across the shower area, and in between were the sink and mirrors.
Our room had a balcony with a breathtaking view of the beach.
Another thing I liked about our room is that it provided us with a lot of hangers, and a rack where we could hang our wet clothes outside. We were each allotted two towels—one for swimming, and one for bathing. For those who don’t like bringing too many toiletries, they’ve got you covered with soap, shampoo, toothbrushes, and toothpaste.
This is Casita Alexandra where half of the office stayed.
You can rent Casita Alexandra if you’re a big group because it can fit a total of 16 people. It has four rooms—two on the lower floor and two on the higher floor. Though the rooms weren’t as spacious as Casita Royale’s, they had a huge common area with daybeds you could lounge in.
There’s a playground for kids!
The resort is kid-friendly and has a lot of water activities, which made it possible for us to have an Amazing Race type of game.
Champions!
In the end, my team even bagged the much-coveted 1st prize award. This was after going through a kayak race, a whole lot of mind games and mazes, and a last challenge on the beach. We had to fill up a big plastic cup filled with holes until the ping-pong ball inside floated out.
Breakfast, Lunch, Merienda, and Dinner
This is the Dining Hall where Breakfast, Lunch, Merienda, and Dinner were served buffet style! The quality of their food was really good as compared to other resorts in Laiya.
They served unlimited amounts of coffee and tea, which I sort of took advantage of.
Getting to Palm Beach Resort follows the same directions as getting to La Luz Beach Resort, but Palm Beach Resort is a little further. It takes about three hours as well, coming from Metro Manila. It’s the ideal place to get away from the city and unwind. But just a fair warning to those addicted to their phones: there’s no signal at all in the entire resort. But they do have Wi-Fi!
Let the creative Micci Laroza’s video show you just how much fun we had:

I’m so happy and thankful that this outing allowed us to bond even more with each other. I’m also thrilled to have discovered a luxurious resort in Laiya that has all these lovely amenities. Even though the summer season is over, nothing will stop me from going back to the beach. Even if it’s just for a weekend! And I know the perfect place to go to: Palm Beach Resort!
