OOTD: Lace + Denim
I bought this dress from Mango a couple of years ago, and for a while I didn’t really know where I could wear it to. (Talk about impulsive shopping.) It was pretty, and it was lace, and I thought to myself: I must have it!

It then lived in my closet for months, and because writers have the most unreliable and erratic memories, I almost forgot that I even owned it. That was until I rummaged through my closet again, and found this dress that I never wore. I suddenly remembered the Tyra Banks rule: if a piece of clothing lives in your closet for more than a year, it no longer belongs to you.
(But the dress was too pretty to give away!) Luckily, I found a reason to wear it during an all-white Christmas party in Pico de Loro.
After that, I realized that there were a number of ways I could play with the dress. It didn’t have to stick to a conventional style.
One of them being was to play it down—by wearing a denim jacket over and pairing it with Sperry Top-Siders.
It’s a simple, casual look for a Friday in the office. I finished it off with my favorite necklace (one that people always mistake for a locket), and there you have it! A cute blend of lace and denim.
