Ofra Cosmetics’ Newest Liquid Lipstick Shade: Manila
Manila just got a little hotter with Ofra Cosmetics’ newest Long Lasting Liquid Lipstick shade—Manila!
When it comes to liquid lipsticks, I always tell my friends, readers and followers that nothing can compare to the comfort that Ofra’s liquid lipsticks give. It’s the one matte liquid lipstick that never leaves my lips dry or chapped, even if I’ve worn it the whole day (and even if I forget to wear lip balm).
Ofra has definitely come a long way—from participating in the first ever beauty box of Glamourbox back in November 2012 (I even remember attending that intimate event!), to being exclusively distributed by the company later on, to eventually gaining a cult-following all over the country. Because of the brand’s success, they took their partnership with Glamourbox to the next level and created a nude liquid lipstick that’s both versatile and suitable for all Filipina skin tones.
Ofra Manila is a beautiful nude shade that can be worn alone, layered with lip pencils, or mixed with other liquid lipstick shades to create a multitude of lip colors. It really depends on your mood, but one of the things I like about it is that the shade doesn’t look the same on everyone because it varies based on your skin’s pH.
It’s definitely evident in the six inspiring women that Ofra teamed up with to further highlight the collaboration—six women who represent different personalities and excel in their respective fields. Using the tagline, “What’s your #ManilaMood?” the collaboration shows the versatility of the shade and features the diversity of Filipina beauty.
Ana Victorino, a makeup artist and one of the veterans in beauty vlogging represents Manila Beauty Babe. Lexie Puzon, a spirited and creative talent who tells stories through her colorful lifestyle blog, exemplifies Manila Youth. Nina Rayos, a sensitive and timeless mom who juggles many roles, captures the essence of a Manila Mom. My girl crush and renowned photographer, Sara Black, also a dymanic and determined health buff who practices yoga and competes in triathlons, is the perfect representation of Manila Active. Bianca Guidotti, a friend from Ateneo and is one of the most confident and sophisticated women I know, portrays Manila Chic so effortlessly. And lastly, Lia Andrea Ramos, the passionate and hardworking CEO of Glamourbox, holds the apt title of Manila Girl Boss.
Because of my excitement, I tried wearing Manila alone and with my other favorite Ofra Liquid Lipstick shades: Laguna Beach, Pasadena, and Charmed. Check out the swatches below:
Top to Bottom: Manila, Laguna Beach, Pasadena, Charmed
I like wearing it alone because of how neutral it looks, but I also love how it looks when mixed with Laguna Beach. What do you guys think?
