Nommies by Sarah Arrogante

Let me tell you a quick story about Sarah Arrogante. I met her when I was still working in my first job—she was the new photographer, and the only one gutsy enough to voice out her honest thoughts and opinions about the company we were all working for. Thoughts and opinions that we, the rest of the company, wanted so bad to air out as well but just couldn’t. She was a strong character, and despite her resigning after the dispute, I could never forget what she did for herself, and for the rest of us.

Now, she’s doing even better. Aside from still doing photography as a sideline job, she started Nommies—baking the most delicious chocolate chip cookies for dessert fans like me.

Last week, she sent two boxes of these amazing cookies (one made of regular chocolate chips and another, made with dark chocolate)—which my siblings and cousins finished in a day, and a jar of the most delectable cookie dough which, despite having a sore throat, I couldn’t resist not eating.

I even brought the entire jar to work, and would keep getting spoonfuls until I emptied the whole thing.
