My Maybelline NYFW #OOTD’s
In case you missed the announcement on my Instagram, I recently joined the #MaybellineNYFW contest where one lucky blogger will be sent to New York City next year to cover New York Fashion Week! It’s such an exciting opportunity that I couldn’t help but put together three different #ootd’s that could potentially be my looks if I were to be chosen.
My style has always been classic with a slight twist. I don’t follow fashion trends as much because I like sticking to basic or timeless pieces that will never go out of style. Once in a while, I like to play with prints and color, just like my outfit on the left-most picture! This was a Christian Dior dress that I paired with black Ferragamo shoes (dress belongs to my extended closet aka my Tita’s closet, while the shoes were handed down by my paternal grandmother), which I wore to the Maybelline Dream Academy Workshop in partnership with Greta’s Junkyard.
On the rare occasion that I wear denim jeans, I like to mix it up with feminine tops and ballet flats. But my look in the middle photo was paired with a faux-leather jacket to channel my inner rock star (and also because I felt like the look complemented my then faux-hawk).
Lastly, on the right, I wore a basic olive dress from H&M which I paired with velvet black Topshop booties. It’s perfect when you’re too lazy or can’t think of anything to wear. The dress itself can be played up with high heels and a blazer or played down with sneakers.
So these are just some of my staple styles, and I really hope to win the contest so I can replicate these outfits in New York City!
By the way, one lucky reader will also be given the chance to fly to New York next year. Be sure to stay tuned for updates. In the meantime, take advantage of the Maybelline sale happening on November 13 to December 15, 2015, where even the Maybelline NYFW SS 2016 Collection will be on sale!
