My Five-Minute Makeup
Welcome to the Lazy Woman’s guide to putting on make-up. Just kidding.
But really, it’s no joke traveling from Quezon City to Makati everyday for work. Traffic can be a major buzz kill, especially during rush hours. So when my alarm clock goes off and I hit the snooze button a couple of times, I know I need to hurry up in getting ready.
Most days (okay fine, maybe everyday), I never have the time to put on make-up. In fact, I even ride the car with my hair wet! (Traffic takes that long that by the time I get to the office, my hair is dry enough.) I always do my make-up when I get to my workstation, and I usually do it with just five products that can easily fit my bag.
I start off by wiping my face with tissue or an oil blotter, before then proceeding to apply Beauty Republic’s Original Dramatic BB Tinted Cream. Don’t be fooled by its white texture because as I apply it, the color starts to blend in with my skin tone. It immediately gets rid of the imperfections on my face, especially on frustrating days when my skin breaks out. It gives a light, barely-there feel, and I really love the gentle baby scent.
After applying Beauty Republic’s BB cream (which you can easily avail from the Glamourbox online boutique), I dab on a little powder by Clinique. I then smear on my black liquid eyeliner by Bloom, apply maybe two to three drops of Benefit’s Posie Tint on the apples of my cheeks then spread it evenly, and finish it off with Lancôme’s Juicy Tubes lip gloss.
Before and After
If you have time and would want to add a little more dramatic effect to the eyes, curl those lashes and put on mascara! I call this my five-minute make-up. It’s really quick and easy, and very ideal for an everyday look!
