#MigsDi2014: Wedding at Manila Polo Club
Last Sunday, April 27, my good friend from high school married her college sweetheart in what could only be the cutest wedding ever. I’ve known Di and Dans for so many years now, especially after they got together during college. I always knew then that they’d end up getting married someday. It’s surreal how that someday has already happened, and in Santuario de San Antonio they exchanged their vows and promised to love each other forever.
The Newly Weds
The reception was held right after, in Manila Polo Club. Everything was just too cute! From the decorations up to the program. The food was really delicious as well, with Fillet Mignon as the main dish and my favorite of the menu.
For the occasion, I did my own hair and makeup. My hair was really simple. After taking a bath, I dried it with an electric fan. When it was slightly damp, I flipped my hair and applied gel. If gel isn’t your thing, you can use mousse instead. I finished drying my hair with a blow dryer, then used rollers for more volume. If you want, you can also tease the top a little bit if your hair is really fine like mine.

For my makeup, I used the following products:
1. Benefit’s Porefessional, They’re Real Mascara, and Bene Tint
For my primer, my lashes, and my cheeks of course!
2. Carmen Claire Cosmetics’ Covert Operations Concealer Palette
I used this to minimize the dark circles under my eyes.
3. Maybelline’s Liquid Mineral Foundation
I like this because it feels light on the skin. Not recommended for those with really oily skin though.
4. Clinique’s Perfectly Real Compact Makeup
This is a staple in my bag. It acts as both a foundation and pressed powder!
5. K-Palette’s Lasting 2Way Eyebrow Liner
My go-to product for my brows. Love this forever!
6. Urban Decay’s Naked 2 (for affordable alternatives, you can click here)
I blended a few shades to get my look. Darker shade on the lower part of my lid, then worked my way up with lighter shades.
7. BYS’ Longwear Lipstick (Shade: In Love)
This color really complements my lips. But be careful when you put it inside your bag, because the cap has a tendency to loosen and fall off. It ended up staining my clutch.
As a result, here are more photos of the wedding:
This is my lovely barkada. We’ve been friends since grade school.
So there you have it! If you have any questions about the products or how I got this look, please comment below! Don’t forget to Like Greta’s Junkyard on Facebook as well.
