Massage App: Book A Massage Online with Zennya App
In a recent blog post about staying in an Airbnb in Makati for a week, I mentioned that there was one evening I booked a massage online via the Zennya app. It was first introduced to me by my colleague, Karina, who regularly uses it and highly recommended it, and I got really intrigued so I decided to download the app for myself. As much as I enjoyed living in Makati and having access to the nearby spas, the introverted side of me wanted to stay cooped up in my unit—so booking a massage through Zennya was my best choice.
Let me tell you how fast and convenient it is. Once I downloaded the app and registered my contact and payment details (I hooked up my credit card like I always do with online shops and these types of apps), I booked a Swedish Therapy Massage for 1.5 hours at around 9pm. It works the same way as Uber and Grab, where you book a therapist and the app will let you know where in Metro Manila he or she will be coming from. Mine showed that my therapist, Aiza, would be arriving in 18 minutes (she was coming from somewhere in Kalayaan but needed to wait for a Zennya rider to pick her up), so I prepared everything that needed to be prepared (which wasn’t much really). The app will tell you to prepare two towels, and to take a nice, warm shower—but because I was feeling a little extra, I also played spa music through my Bluetooth speakers.
Within the app, I was able to communicate with my therapist that she was on her way. I instructed her to let me know if she was near, so I could pick her up at the lobby of my Airbnb. She arrived before 10pm, and we got to start my massage right away. She made me choose between an oil and a soothing balm—I went for the balm instead, because the lemongrass scent smelled so relaxing. The therapist told me that they normally play spa music for their clients through their speaker phones, but because I was already prepared with my own spa music, she didn’t have to.
Their service was amazing from start to finish. My therapist was well-trained and very professional, and I heard from Karina that they were all like that. I’m so happy with their service, that I’m already looking forward to booking another massage with them again!
After my session, my therapist packed up quickly and quietly, and made a move to leave right away. I tried to stop her because I hadn’t given my tip yet, but she told me that I just needed to rate her service (the same way that she would rate me as a client) and choose from the denominations available on the app that I wanted to give as tip. So everything (from the service itself to the tip) is a cashless transaction!
If you’re looking for a convenient way of booking a massage, not to mention quality service, I highly recommend downloading the Zennya app, a spa on demand that offers a number of services (not just Swedish or Shiatsu!) that’s guaranteed to arrive at your doorstep in less than 30 minutes. It’s available on both the App Store and Play Store! You can use my code below to get Php 200 off your first booking.
