Mask with a Task: Peter Thomas Roth Now in the Philippines

I cannot express enough how obsessed I am with facial masks. I don’t know when exactly the obsession started, but I do know that mask nights have become such an integral part of my week (as seen on my Instagram). Like I always says—it’s a cheap and easy way of pampering yourself (and your skin!), so why not do it as often as possible?

Thankfully, with Peter Thomas Roth now in the Philippines, masking has been made even more fun and exciting!

For those who have only heard about the brand, its founder, Peter Thomas Roth (or PTR), had a passion for skincare, and it was derived from his quest to finding effective products that can treat his own personal skincare concerns. It first started with controlling acne, then eventually anti-aging. As the product formulator, Peter leads all research and development efforts to deliver progressive, cutting-edge products in his own laboratory and production facility, and he travels all over the world for the best and most powerful ingredients to deliver state of the art quality at effective concentrations. The brand’s philosophy is simple: breakthrough formulas and astonishing results.

Last March 20, the brand held an intimate event at Samba in Shangri-La Fort to formally launch in the Philippines. Guests were treated to colorful custom cocktails (inspired by the different masks of Peter Thomas Roth), a mask bar, and the most delicious food! The event setup was also incredibly Insta-worthy, and I just loved the tropical theme of everything.

Since the launch, I’ve tried three of their masks already—the 24k Gold Mask (to firm), Irish Moor Mud Mask (to detoxify), and Cucumber Gel Mask (to hydrate). I used the 24k Gold Mask one Friday evening to pamper myself after a tiring work week, the Irish Moor Mud Mask in Baguio last weekend (to prep my skin for a wedding that I was attending), and the Cucumber Gel Mask the other night to give my skin extra hydration (because it dried up a bit from my trip to Baguio).
