March Madness
In the Philippines, the phrase “March Madness” doesn’t apply to the NBA where basketball teams get even more competitive as they fight their way to the big finals. It can also describe the literal heat that begins as March marks the end of the school year and the exciting start of summer – which is why students on campus have been donning clothes comfortable enough to endure the fever weather in Manila.
I’ve had my eye on this Fashionista for quite some time now. I’ve seen her wear some of the cutest outfits to class — one look I’ll never forget is how she incorporated Plueys into her get up one rainy day a few months ago. In this ensemble however, she picked out earth colors that were very soft oin the eyes in contrast to the harsh rays of the sun. The sheer top was both cute and comfortable for the hot afternoon, and looked very modest when paired with the shorts. The bag and the simplicity of her accessories completed the get up. Witnessing her confidence as she smiled for the camera really does assert this girl knows her fashion.
As summer has arrived in my country, I can’t wait to see what the Fashionistas/os in my school have in store. I’m sure that whatever style they’ll be showing off will be as sizzling hot as the season.
