Manos Nail Lounge: Nail Spa in BGC
I think I just discovered the best nail spa in BGC. I’ve been working in the area for eight months now, and I was able to try a couple of nail spas nearby. Unfortunately, I found the one right across my office too expensive (plus the service seemed really rushed), while the other one closes even before I get off work.
It’s a good thing I love walking around Crescent Park, even reaching as far as Burgos Circle, where I came across this nail spa on the second floor of Crescent Park Residences. You won’t miss it if you frequent Burgos Circle, because it has an easy-to-spot sign just above Mini Stop and East West Bank, and they’ve been around for nearly three years now.
The access door to the second floor closes at 6pm, so I had to walk around and enter the main entrance along 30th Street. What instantly greeted me were the smiling faces of their receptionist and nail technicians! It was a delightful feeling—you could tell they were more than willing to help ease the stress of a tiring day.
One thing that sets Manos Nail Lounge apart is that they have a kitchen where you can order refreshments. I was able to try their Manos Iced Tea. Aside from drinks, they also sell Human Nature products, Zoya nail polishes, Theo and Philo chocolates, and Ziggy and Zooey sandals.
The entire lounge has an overall earth-y feel. And if you read up on the meaning of the word “manos,” it’s actually Spanish for hands. The spa aims to reinvent the pampering experience by building and promoting social and environmental consciousness through their products and services. It’s really evident in how they treat their clients, in the positive and charming attitude of their staff, and in the products they use.
The atmosphere is so peaceful and relaxing—I was smiling all 90 minutes I was there. My nail technicians, Dhang and Anna, really took their time with me as well—making sure I was pampered and happy throughout my stay.
I was treated to the Manos Classic: a soak, clean, massage, polish, and buff for both my hands and feet (Php 440). Another thing that makes Manos Nail Lounge unique is their incredibly funny nail technicians, who even taught me that nail polishes should only be worn for a maximum of two weeks and should be removed to avoid stains and chipping of nails. They also highly recommended that I use Zoya for my nail polish, which is a long-wearing, toxin-free, vegan nail polish that uses less chemicals. I loved the hot pink shade of this one!
Other than doing nails, they also offer other services and treatments like Massages, Hair Removals, and Sparties! I recently had a friend who threw a joint bridal and bachelor party in Manos, and the event was such a success! Both the bride and groom’s guests were pampered to the fullest!
Visiting Manos Nail Lounge was like love at first sight. I’m so happy I finally found the perfect nail spa in BGC that’s a walk away from the office, that closes after office hours, that’s affordable yet doesn’t compromise quality and high standards, and that offers other services where I can have both my nails and eyebrows done under one roof. Most importantly, I get to be with a staff that I feel like I’m already friends with!
