My New Role as Managing Editor of Modern Parenting
Hi, everyone! If you’re new here, allow me to quickly introduce myself. My name is Gretchen Gatan Fragada and I’m a writer based in Metro Manila, Philippines. I started this blog in 2013 as a creative “dump” or outlet where I could write about my favorite things and document my life milestones. When I left my position as the managing editor of a global beauty brand’s publication early this year, it was because I wanted to focus on my health. This was especially after I experienced an early miscarriage last October 2020 that took a toll on me mentally and emotionally. And God’s timing is really perfect because just went I left, I found out I was pregnant again! Since then, I’ve been enjoying my pregnancy journey as a first-time expectant mom. I also found more time for the blog and got to focus on freelance projects. But like I said—God’s timing is really perfect. The stars aligned and I’m taking on a new role that’s more in line with my current stage in life.
Managing Editor of Modern Parenting
Starting today, I’ll be the Managing Editor of Modern Parenting under One Mega Group. I’m honestly so excited to be back in editorial because it was always a role I enjoyed ever since. While I used to write, edit, and produce mostly beauty-related content before, this time my content gets to evolve. I can’t wait to talk about motherhood, parenting, home, and more! There’s so much more for me to learn and discover. And I look forward to learning and discovering these things with a community of strong and empowered moms.
