Make Perfect Summer Happen with Maybelline’s Vivid Mattes and HyperSharp Liner

When I got this box a few weeks ago (the NIVEA sunblock excluded) that included a pair of Sunnies and a gift card to Plana Forma, I was super kilig as usual and it only meant that summer had definitely arrived. It came with the Dream Satin Skin Two-Way Cake and Dream Satin Skin Liquid Foundation (two products I highlighted during the Dream Academy Workshop), and the new Vivid Mattes and HyperSharp Power Black Liquid Liner from Maybelline.

The inner part of the vibrant box wrote, “Waterproof your look!” and when I finally got to play with the products last weekend, I realized how waterproof they really were. First off, when I swatched the Vivid Mattes on my arm and tried removing them with water and soap after, the lipsticks wouldn’t budge at all!

It has the same creamy texture as the Creamy Mattes, with a matte finish and pigmentation that won’t disappoint, plus it lasts all day as well (I think it’s pretty evident due to the fact that it can’t be washed off with just water and soap).

The next product I swatched was the all-new HyperSharp Power Black Liquid Liner. The sharp tip, coupled with its formula, made it really easy to write small letters on my hand. Imagine the precision every time you want to draw the perfect cat eye!

The most impressive thing about it? After swatching, I tried removing it with water, soap, and even a cheap makeup remover—but the product stayed on! I literally had to pour five drops of an oil-based makeup remover and scratch the product off with my nail, just to clean up my hand. I read the product information and with just one swipe, this waterproof liner promises a 24-hour intense staying power. You’ll need a really good makeup remover to take it off! But it’s definitely the perfect liquid liner to wear on a hot summer day, because you’re guaranteed it will stay put. This is usually my problem because I have oily lids—liquid liners tend to smudge and run after just a few hours. But after playing with Maybelline’s HyperSharp Power Black Liquid Liner, I’m so amazed!
