L’Oreal Hair Chalk at Azta Urban Salon
For those too scared to dye their hair or have never tried dyeing it ever (like me), here’s something you can try in case you’re going through a “phase” and would want a semi-drastic change (that’s temporary).
Azta Urban Salon, with branches in Eastwood, Katipunan, Robinsons Metroeast, Alabang Town Center, Robinsons Pioneer, and SM San Lazaro, now offers Hair Chalk by L’Oreal—which temporarily colors your hair and lasts about three days.
I was really intrigued by this, especially because I’ve always wanted to try dyeing my hair but only temporarily so that I can instantly go back to my original hair color. Since most hair color treatments last for months, the idea of coloring my hair scares me more than it intrigues me.
But because I was told that L’Oreal’s Hair Chalk only stays for a few days, I was game to try it out.
Naturally, I chose purple and pink for my hair. After the stylist washed and blow dried my hair, she started applying the product. She just poured the substance onto a bowl (the substance is very similar to poster paint), dabbed a sponge on it, and rubbed it against sections of my hair. Right after rubbing the color, she dried the section with a blow dryer and finished it off by putting nourishing oil and ironing the section. The procedure was really fast. I was done in less than an hour. Take note that because my hair is dark, the color camouflages and only shows itself when I’m under the light.
I was instructed that the Hair Chalk would last depending on how often I wash my hair. It can stay up to three washes at most. It’s a little rough whenever I run my hand or a comb through the colored streaks, but not so rough that it gets tangled. It’s the exact same feeling as when you have hair spray on.
Aside from purple and pink, other colors were blue, green, and orange! It’s a really fun invention by L’Oreal. The next time I go back, I’ll definitely give blue a try. Watch out for the new L’Oreal Hair Chalk service this summer in Azta Urban Salon!
