Liz Uy Launches StyLIZed: Ten Style Essentials

Everyone wishes they could be styled by Liz Uy—everyone, including me. From a fashion editor and stylist (she’s currently the fashion editor-at-large of Preview Magazine and Esquire Philippines), she has become the country’s number one style icon and most especially, an inspiration to young women who want to achieve their most fabulous selves through fashion.

 I’d like to think she has a magical touch that turns simple articles of clothing into magnificent pieces, especially when put together. Most of the time, I wonder what goes on in her head whenever she picks out outfits for her clients.

At least now, I don’t have to wonder too much. Because last January 25, 2014 at the National Bookstore in Glorietta 1, Summit Books proudly unveiled StyLIZed: Liz Uy’s Ten Style Essentials—a must-have book for today’s fashion-loving and fashion-forward Filipina.

In the book, Liz lists down ten essentials and gives out practical tips on how to build a wardrobe collection that’s both fashionable and functional. Each essential is modeled by some of her most famous celebrity clients and friends like Anne Curtis, Bea Alonzo, Marian Rivera, Georgina Wilson, Bianca Gonzalez, Sarah Geronimo, Julia Barretto, Isabelle Daza, Toni Gonzaga, and Kris Aquino.

Even Rajo Laurel declares that Ten Style Essentials will be the new fashion bible of the Philippines.
