La Localita, derived from the Italian word, “le localita,” means locally made. It’s a Philippine-based cosmetics brand established just this year, which currently offers three products all infused with Redensyl—a new breakthrough in hair loss technology that targets hair follicle cells to stimulate growth. Unlike most lash and brow growth serums, La Localita doesn’t use prostaglandin ingredients (an ingredient that may cause eye irritation, discoloration, and unwanted hair growth). Their products are paraben-free, fragrance-free, cruelty-free, and FDA-approved—so it’s everything you could ever want in a brand and more!
I was recently given their Lash Express Mascara in Black, Better Brows Gel, and Instalift Serum to try—but I also bought their Lash Express Mascara in Clear, since I recently had a KeraLift done again, in time for the Cupcake’s and my pre-nup photoshoot.
So far, I’ve been using two of their products everyday: the Lash Express Mascara in Clear to maintain and prolong my KeraLift for as long as possible (I use it in the morning and at night!) and the Instalift to promote lash and brow hair growth. It’s only been a little over a month since I started using it (I forgot to take a before and after photo. Hehe!), but I did notice that the lashes on the inner corners of my eyes (which are quite sparse due to frequent use of falsies) are starting to grow again! It’s not yet at the thickness I want it to be, but progress is still progress, and I do believe that with daily use of the Instalift combined with the Lash Express Mascara, I’ll have thicker and longer lashes in time for my wedding! This way, I won’t need to use false lashes anymore either.
The reason I’m super raving about La Localita is because of how genuine the brand seems in really helping Filipinas achieve the brows and lashes of their dreams—with a price point that’s very affordable (all three products are below P500). And can we talk about their incredibly cute packaging?
As a beauty enthusiast, it tickles my kikay bones that more and more local brands like La Localita are popping up with ingenious products that help with self-esteem, boost confidence, and make being kikay all the more fun. So I encourage everyone to check out these local brands and give them a shot!
