Kodanda Archery Range Eastwood is Now Open!
The first and last time I tried archery was more than two years ago, when my sister and I channeled Katniss and Prim Everdeen at Kodanda Archery Range in Makati Cinema Square. (I had really short hair back then. Haha!) It was such a fun and unique experience that when I received an invite to visit their branch in Cybermall Eastwood last week, I was all on board and wanted to try it again!
Aside from my sister, I also brought my two brothers as I wanted them to experience archery as well. It was loads of fun and laughter watching them learn how to shoot an arrow, while my sister and I had to familiarize ourselves again with the basics such as proper stance, correct way of holding your bow and arrow, and how to hit the target accurately.
Unlike the first time, I was less nervous the second time around though I’m not really sure why I did better two years ago compared to last week. Maybe because I was overthinking it too much, and I couldn’t get a bull’s eye at all! My sister, on the other hand, was still a natural and did it with such ease. She hit the target way more than my brothers and I did.
Kodanda Archery Range Eastwood is very clean, spacious, well-lit, and has about six lanes that can be used simultaneously. Their gear and equipment are also very new, and I felt like such a pro using everything—from the pads that protected my chest, to the bag that held my arrows, to the protective ring that prevented my fingers from getting rope burn.
Whether it’s your sport or your hobby, or if you just want to try it out for fun, I think archery’s a one-of-a-kind activity that everyone should be able to experience. It’s a good thing Kodanda Archery Range has expanded their branches to cater to more parts of Metro Manila, with a branch in Makati (Makati Cinema Square), one in Paranaque (BF Holmes), another in Pasay (Mall of Asia), and lastly, in Quezon City (Eastwood).
If you want to drop by and try out archery, the cost is Php 590 for an hour inclusive of instructions, equipment, rental range, and unlimited arrows. They also have an ongoing promo where you can avail ten sessions for only Php 5,000. You can read more about it here.
Have you guys ever tried archery? How was your experience like?
