Introducing San Marino’s Tuna Laing

Ever since I discovered San Marino’s Tuna Paella four years ago in a Mini Stop outlet of my former office building, where I was actually looking for a healthy, affordable, and filling alternative to my usual lunch meals, I was thrilled. It automatically became my go-to option whenever I had no baon, was too lazy to think about what I would have for lunch, if I was on a tight budget, or if I was hungry but needed a healthy substitute I could incorporate into my diet (it’s only about 180 calories, and my goal calorie intake at that time was 1,200.)
Eating San Marino’s Tuna Laing in the office
It’s my love for San Marino’s Tuna Paella that got me just as excited when I found out they launched their own version of Tuna Laing (Php 32 SRP per 180g can). Just like the Tuna Paella, it’s ready-to-eat and can easily be opened—all you need is a fork and you’re good to go! It’s made with real taro leaves and coconut milk (that creates such a delicious aroma), topped with tuna flakes.
The reason I like eating tuna is because of the taste, but it’s an added bonus that tuna contains Omega-3 that’s really good for the heart. San Marino’s Tuna Laing is also perfect for baon, especially if you have no time to prepare in the morning or as a meal in itself at home when you’re too tired or lazy to cook.
It’s slightly spicy, but the kind that wakes you up and encourages you to take another bite.
You can even play around with different recipes, or add garnish like tomatoes and onions.
Tuna fans like me can enjoy another delicious and healthy treat from San Marino, the San Marino Tuna Laing! Check out their Facebook page at www.facebook.com/SanMarinoCornedTuna to know more about San Marino’s Tuna Laing!
