I Started Going to School Again!
Hi, guys! I just wanted to give you all a quick update on what I’ve been doing with my life lately. Haha!
So for those who don’t know, I graduated two years ago from Ateneo de Manila with a degree in Creative Writing. After that, I wound up working as a copywriter and marketing assistant, before getting promoted to brand communications manager, and then I got into digital marketing. Currently, I’m the marketing manager at Glamourbox where I handle four makeup brands exclusively distributed by the company—and it’s because of this that I decided to enroll in fashion makeup class at Fashion Institute of the Philippines last June, at the same time I also enrolled in the Marketing Diploma Program of Ateneo Professional Schools.
I figured since the only marketing background I have is my two years of work experience, I needed to strengthen it further—by bringing out the closet-nerd in me, applying in grad school, and getting a marketing diploma.
The reason I’m writing this is because with my workload in Glamourbox and my workload in school (I have classes every Wednesday and Thursday night, and Saturday all day), I don’t want to overstretch myself—which means I might not be able to update the blog as often as I used to (I know, I know. I don’t even update the blog as often as I should prior to grad school). But I promise that I will still try to come out with at least 1-2 articles a week! I mean, who am I kidding? I’m still a writer at heart, and writing is the only thing that keeps me sane.
So yes, expect more features on beauty and lifestyle. Plus I still have a lot in store for the blog (like I don’t know, maybe a YouTube channel? Wink, wink!) and I’ll be coming out with a couple of articles on my recent visit to Osaka, Japan!
I also want to take this time to thank you guys (I can’t thank you enough, seriously!) for sticking with Greta’s Junkyard for two years, and for being the sweetest and most sincere readers ever! Here’s to another crazy adventure slash chapter of my life.

OMG you are my peg in life. @_@ I am also planning to study Marketing to strengthen my background and have an “edge” as a writer. Also, I was considering Ateneo too! I think this is a sign! Anyhoo, good luck in school! <3

Hi Greta, I’m also planning to take this particular graduate diploma this 2018 and would like to get some feedback from you in terms of program benefits, how was the experience, and any inputs/tips you can give. 🙂

Hey, Ferisse! It was actually very helpful in terms of my career, because I learned the dynamics of running a business (everything from the operations, etc.). It’s mostly group work sessions rather than individual work, so you’ll be talking to and working with a lot of people from different career backgrounds and learn from them as well. It helped boost my resume, too. 🙂 It was a good program! Good luck!
