How To Organize Makeup
Over the long weekend, I got really sick (again!) and so while everyone else was at the La Union Soul Surf or some beach trip far away from the city, I spent the entire time in my pajamas hibernating.
I also felt a little OC, so when I regained some of my energy, I did a quick reorganizing of my makeup.
How To Organize Makeup
I’ve been wanting to get a makeup kit similar to this, but a smaller and simpler version:
But since my makeup collection isn’t as extensive yet, and I’m not even an expert when it comes to putting on makeup (I can only do really basic looks), I use something more practical and that keeps my makeup just as organized.
If you read my past articles (You can check them out here and here), I never use foundation. I use BB Cream as an alternative instead. But ever since my love for makeup grew, I got curious and so I decided to try this mineral foundation by Maybelline. I’ll let you guys know how it works once I test it.
This is my collection of mascara. I wasn’t able to add They’re Real by Benefit, which my sister and I share. But so far that’s my favorite! I bought Maybelline’s The Rocket to compare with The Falsies, so I’m excited to try that as well.
And lastly, my collection of blushes!
My mom got this for me a year ago from Lock & Lock, and it’s been serving as my makeup kit/organizer ever since. What’s nice about it is that it can fit smaller containers (like the one for my lip balms and glosses). For the lip balms and glosses, I used an old plastic container to keep them in place. The plastic containers can also serve as separators.
This storage box fits perfectly inside my bathroom’s closet. So on the rare occasions I feel kikay OR I have an event to attend, I can easily take it out and look through whatever I feel like using.

I’m so envious for someone who knows to beautify oneself with make-up. It’s never a skill on me. I hope I can do the basic make-up

Just like mastering any other skill, all it takes is practice, practice, practice. It took me a long time before I could master doing basic looks and sometimes, I still have to practice again how to fill in my eyebrows, do my eyeliner, or blend the colors of my eye shadows. But if you’re patient, and you practice every once in a while, you’ll get the hang of it. 🙂
