How to Do the Perfect Ballerina Bun

Once upon a time, I cut my hair really, really short.

And it took forever to grow.

I missed being able to do a variety of hairstyles, which included tying my hair in a ballerina or donut bun.

But as my hair started to grow out, I discovered the donut scrunchie which could be used to cheat ballerina buns and make them look perfect. The best part was that it could be used even with short hair.

Now that my hair is longer, I still use it to achieve a perfect bun. (But I might be needing a bigger donut scrunchie soon, because my hair has gotten too long for my current one.)

So how to do the perfect ballerina bun? Below is a quick demo of how I cheat the ballerina bun using my donut scrunchie.

I was able to buy my donut scrunchie in the Eastwood tiangge for Php 80. Other than Eastwood, I also found some in Claire’s in Bonifacio High Street, which comes in different sizes.

 

It’s really convenient! If you’re having a bad hair day, you can just tie up your hair in a perfect ballerina bun. Or if you’re in a hurry to fix your hair for a party, the ballerina bun can be your go-to look. I can’t even count the times I encountered both situations!
