Harry Potter’s Butterbeer at Starbucks Philippines
So this morning, after reading the article by Dale Bacar here, my blockmate and now officemate, Hannah, and I headed over to the nearest Starbucks branch in our area (which is in Crescent Park, Bonifacio Global City) to try this very intriguing Butterbeer recipe.
- Creme Frappuccino base with whole milk
- 3 pumps of Caramel syrup
- 3 pumps of Toffee Nut syrup
- Top with Caramel Drizzle
Harry Potter’s Butterbeer at Starbucks Philippines
We’ve always been huge Potterheads and Dramione shippers, so imagine our excitement when we read the article!
We added a twist to our drinks—to make it taste a little more “Irish,” as suggested by another blockmate, Alvin. All you have to do is request the barista to include a pump of Irish creme. Apparently, this recipe belongs to a more secret-ish menu of Starbucks around the world but baristas here in the Philippines aren’t as aware yet.
I’ve never actually tried the Butterbeer from Harry Potter World but my good friend, Yelle, described it as like a “caramel vanilla slushie.” My first sip literally made me feel giddy! It’s really sweet! I closed my eyes and imagined drinking it from a mug, and for a while I felt like I was in Three Broomsticks.
Thanks to Dale Bacar, we can now have a taste of the Butterbeer goodness for only Php 170 this Christmas season! Hooray!

amazeballs!I wonder if the price would vary if its a “custom-made” drink? Thanks.
PS: All hail all Potterheads! 😀

I think it does, especially if you add more syrup pumps, etc. But for this one, it was P170. 🙂
All hail us Potterheads!!! 😀

how did you order? did you just say, “Butter Beer”? Other blogs says you need to tell the barista the ingredients, not the name of the drink. thanks!
January 14, 2014 @ 5:07 pm
When I ordered it before, the drink wasn’t as hyped up yet so I had to show the barista the exact ingredients. They even asked me where I got the recipe and stuff. Then I heard from a friend a few weeks after that the drink was getting really popular and baristas already knew it as the “Butterbeer Recipe.” So I guess it depends which Starbucks you visit? Best to come prepared with the recipe just in case. 🙂

Uhm.. 170 only? What size? ☺ Thanks! 🙂

WOW. So trying this! Is it only available during Christmas season?
P.S. POTTERHEADS rule! After all this time? Duh. Always. <3
July 13, 2014 @ 9:38 pm
Hey, Nikki! Yeah, unfortunately it’s only available during the Christmas season because of one of the ingredients. 🙁 Good thing it’s only a few months away! 🙂
November 13, 2014 @ 7:30 pm
OMG. Fellow Potterhead and Dramione shipper too?! What are the odds? Thanks for sharing this. Will definitely try it for myself. Oh, any chance you write your own fanfics? I tried it but my muse is on hiatus. My fave authors are luckei1, Marmalade Fever, RZZMG, attica, and many more. Keep the D/Hr love alive! ♥♥♥
November 14, 2014 @ 2:45 pm
OMG, hello fellow Dramione Fan! 🙂 It’s always nice to meet others who ship them! 🙂 I do write fanfics secretly! Hahaha! I’ll e-mail you my fanfiction.net username. 😀 My favorite author of all time is Bex-Chan (author of Isolation). Super duper genius writer. But I love those writers you mentioned, too! If you haven’t read Isolation yet, I seriously recommend it. You will be hooked!!! Hahaha!
November 15, 2014 @ 2:19 am
Yes please! Would love to read your work. I only know of one other Filipina Dramione writer on ff.net (BelleOfSummer) and I follow Bex Chan but haven’t read her works yet. Will start today! Pls pls pls email me? Eeeeep. So excited. *fangirl.mode*
November 16, 2014 @ 9:28 pm
You will love, love, love Bex-Chan! 🙂 I promise! Anyway, I think I only wrote one Dramione FF so far. Check out: There Were Those Moments (by gretasbedtimestories). Most of my FF’s are about Puck-Quinn back when I used to be a Glee fanatic. Hahaha! Please be kind! I barely give away my stories to anyone, but since you’re a fellow Dramione fan, I feel like we’re already friends! Hahaha! If you have stories, link them as well! 🙂 Would love to read them.

What kind of frappe should I order? Do I need to say the ingredients to the barista? 🙂 I badly need to taste the butterbeer T_T
November 19, 2014 @ 11:20 am
Creme frappe base with whole milk! 🙂 I think since this became a trend last year, just tell the barista you want the Butterbeer recipe. 🙂
November 20, 2014 @ 6:12 pm

August 22, 2016 @ 12:32 pm
I think it’s only available during Christmas season, because there’s one ingredient that’s only available during Christmas. 🙂
