Happy Skin Beauty Launch
A couple of weeks ago, local beauty brand, Happy Skin, invited me to the launch of their skincare series in Rockwell Glasshouse Harlan+Holden. It was an event that I was really looking forward to attending, because aside from the fact that Happy Skin remains to be one of the most successful local beauty brands we have today, I was very intrigued with what they were about to launch next. From their Disney collaboration, to their Glam Squad Collection, to the Plains & Prints collaboration—Happy Skin always did something that never failed to capture my attention.
Last November, I received a bit of a teaser when the brand sent over their Sakura Bloom Collection—a Brightening Peeling Gel and Hydrating Skin Booster that combined the powers of Korea and Japan. With this, it was safe to assume that the next big thing Happy Skin would be coming out with was a skincare line!
True enough, that was exactly what the event was all about—to launch two skincare series: the Anti-Aging Series and the Oil Control Series.
Oil Control Series
For me, it only made sense that this was the brand’s next move. Ever since Happy Skin was first launched last October 2013, it was always clear in their message that their makeup products had skin-loving ingredients that would make your skin happy! And as I talked to partners and co-founders, Jacqe Yuengtian-Gutierrez and Rissa Mananquil-Trillo, they shared that developing a skincare line was always part of their plan when they first started the brand. It just took a little longer because unlike makeup, skincare is a whole different ball game and needed more intense research.

The results? Two series that were developed separately—the Oil Control Series made in Korea, and the Anti-Aging Series made in Japan. All products are below Php 1,000 so it makes it easier for practical Filipinas to commit to a skincare routine that’s affordable, but that also works.
In fact, Jacqe, who recently gave birth to a beautiful baby boy, shared that breastfeeding has been causing her skin to dry so bad that after each breastfeeding session, she would need to drink a glass of water to re-hydrate herself. But when she started using one of their own products, the Beauty Regenerating Moisturizer, she noticed how much her dry skin improved in just a matter of days!
Anti-Aging Series
I’m looking forward to incorporating both series into my skincare routine. I plan to use the Anti-Aging Series in the evening, and the Oil Control Series in the morning!
Have you guys tried any of Happy Skin Beauty’s newest skincare products? Which one have you tried or are looking to try?
