Gorgeous in Green
Maybe I’m being biased, but there’s something about green that makes it seem royal. Perhaps the notion is heavily influenced by my love for a certain house in Hogwarts filled with handsome pure-blooded wizards — but Harry Potter talk and fanaticism aside, there really is something regal and gorgeous about the hue.
This is why I nearly stalked this Fashionista all the way to her class just to ask if I could take a photo of her dress. As she walked down the corridors towards her classroom, I really couldn’t help but notice how adorable she looked!
The sheer frock was perfect for a cool and breezy day — in a way, it reminded me of Georgina Wilson’s dress designed by Martin Bautista for his holiday 2011 collection. The Peter Pan collar gave it such a young and feminine touch. Paired with black ballet flats and finished off with simple accessories, the look was highlighted with the Fashionista’s braid formed into a crown on her head. Trust me, in a school buzzing about with students in different outfits and hairstyles, you can’t get any more royal than that!
I don’t know how you can tell what makes a color appear majestic. Perhaps the color does the talking on its own, and if it does green has a pretty strong language. I’m sure Kate Middleton, in her green Mulberry dress, could give her two cents on the subject.
