Hi, CL! Welcome to the world of cosmetics! Hehe. 🙂 Since you’re new, I would recommend that you start with the basics: eyebrows, lashes, and lips.

For eyebrows, I’m a huge fan of Etude House’s Color My Brows (they come in a variety of colors). These are so easy to apply, especially if you’re not used to filling in your eyebrows yet, and they retail for around Php 360. For your lashes, get Maybelline’s The Falsies or Hypercurl mascara, which both retail at Php 199. And for lips, Ofra Cosmetics sells high-quality lipsticks (that already contain Vitamin E and sunscreen) for just Php 500.

    Hi there!
I was thinking of getting Urban Decay Naked palette but I find it (way, way) expensive. Then I saw the BYS Nude (if I’m not mistaken) palette which shades are similar to those of the Naked palette. Question is, do you think the BYS Nude (?) palette would be good enough?? Or do you have any other suggestions since it has been more than a year since you posted this? Thanks!

Hey! To be honest, I love the shades but in terms of pigmentation, I expected more. If you’re after the pigmentation, I highly recommend Pixi’s Mesmerizing Mineral Palettes. It’s available in four shades, and they’re only Php 620 per palette. 🙂
