The story of how I came to be a coffee lover stems from my kindergarten days when I would hang around my grandfather’s office in the back of our ancestral home. Almost everyday in the afternoon, he would have guests visiting—these guests ranged from fellow businessmen, to lawyers, to judges—and the first thing either one of his two secretaries would do was to offer to make them coffee, but I would beat them to it. A then 6-year old me would experiment with the different coffee brands available in his little pantry, and though I’ll never know if his guests actually liked the coffee I made for them, what I did learn was how to make coffee the way I like it for myself—the ratio was always one scoop of coffee to three tablespoons of brown sugar.
My love for coffee was greatly influenced all the more when Cupcake came into the picture—showing me different methods of making coffee, with using a coffee press as my favorite.
This addiction was perhaps how Coffee Not Coffee, founded in Australia by two sisters who share the same love for coffee, health, and fitness—discovered Greta’s Junkyard and sent a pack of African Mango Coffee for me to try.

I didn’t know what to expect with African Mango Coffee, especially with the word “mango” on the label. The scent was somewhat similar to Japanese rice tea, but upon sipping, the coffee had a really strong aftertaste. It’s very different from the coffee I’m used to (which is Benguet beans), but I like it! I tried drinking it in two ways—plain black, and with a little sugar.
African Mango Coffee helps boost metabolism, assists in thermogenic fat burning, suppresses the appetite, fights fatigue, and reduces cholesterol levels.
