Booboo’s Staycation at a Pet-Friendly Hotel in Quezon City: B Hotel

It’s not everyday that you get an invite from a hotel asking if you can bring your pet to experience and enjoy a staycation with them. My very spoiled Shih Tzu, Booboo, definitely felt like the star of such a fun weekend in B Hotel Quezon City, a sophisticated pet-friendly hotel managed by Bellevue.

It was actually my first time to hear of the hotel—and a pet-friendly one no less! The Cupcake, Booboo, and I checked in on a Saturday afternoon, and were able to rest and unwind after three consecutive weekends of moving in, adjusting to married life, and going back and forth Quezon City and Makati.

The moment we stepped foot inside their sleek-looking lobby (with Booboo in his trusty dog stroller) and were eagerly greeted by the receptionists (who were so excited to meet and play with Booboo!), I knew it would be a unique hotel experience. Check-in was such a breeze, they processed everything a lot faster than me finishing my welcome drink—which is something you’d expect from bigger five-star hotels (who at times, take so long to process your check-in!). And before you think that the hotel may not have been fully booked that weekend, I was quite surprised at the number of guests in the restaurant and lobby. In fact, the Cupcake and I nearly had a hard time looking for parking inside the premises (which is free as long as you have your ticket validated)—if it wasn’t for the helpful guards who assisted.

In a matter of minutes, we had our key cards and were able to go up to our superior room on the sixth floor. The interiors had a modern industrial design meant to remind you of a steampunk novel, and combined muted colors with the hotel’s color palette—black, red, and orange. The standard amenities included air-conditioning, satellite TV, free LAN and Wi-Fi access, an in-room safe, national and international direct dialing, a mini-bar, toilet and bath, and shower. There were added perks like bathrobes, fluffy bedroom slippers, and a vanity and dental kit (which was so convenient, because I forgot to pack my toothbrush!).

What’s amazing are the provisions they had for Booboo—such as freshly-baked welcome treats in a silver doggie bowl, a sachet of Saint Roche Premium Organic Dog Shampoo (which is coincidentally his shampoo at home), a large bag of grain-free kibble from Nutram, grilled beef treats from Prama, a toy bone (which he didn’t want to let go of), a door sign we could hang to indicate that our room had a Fur Baby Inside, and a generous amount of potty pads!

Our overnight stay was unforgettably comfortable. Though I’m used to sleeping on the same bed with the Cupcake and Booboo in our humble studio in Makati (our bed is a queen!), I didn’t mind indulging in the large space, king-sized bed, and plush hotel bed sheets. It was evident that even Booboo enjoyed it!

The following day at the breakfast buffet, B Hotel’s staff cleaned and prepared a table in the balcony area of their Lobby Cafe so that Booboo could still join us.

Their assortment included all my breakfast favorites like bacon, scrambled eggs, sunny side up (which you can request from the chef), pancakes and waffles, butter and rolls, corned beef, and a variety of cheese. Their coffee was a light and delicious blend you’ll enjoy more if sipped slowly.

Later that afternoon, Booboo and I attended B Hotel’s annual Supawstar event—a pet fashion show that flaunts the most talented and well-dressed pets in the Metro! Hoomans were treated to B Hotel’s delicious food, while fur babies were spoiled with a pet buffet!
