Blurred Lines: L’Oreal Paris Philippines Launches Revitalift Magic Blur Cream
I think what’s great about living in this day and age is that the technology behind skincare and cosmetics keeps improving and evolving to suit women’s wants and needs. And what is that exactly? To be able to bask under the sun the whole day without our skin aging, and to stay flawless—at least that’s what I hope for all the time as a beach lover and ultimate frisbee player.
Last Tuesday, L’Oreal Paris Philippines launched the newest of the Revitalift franchise: Magic Blur. Magic Blur is the first instant anti-aging skincare cream that perfects every woman’s daily regimen by instantly blurring lines, enlarged pores, dullness, and other signs of skin aging.
We were all treated to a pampering session at Neo Day Spa in Bonifacio Global City and experienced the L’Oreal Facial, which incorporated their Milky Cleansing Foam, Aqua-Milky Toner, Day Cream, and finally the Magic Blur. My favorite part, of course, was the massage that came with it.
As Gela Encanto, Brand Manager of L’Oreal Paris Philippines, shares: “We definitely hear women’s cry for instant results and the newest Magic Blur cream is the answer as it magically blurs away facial lines in seconds.”
This was me after getting my L’Oreal Facial!
Thanks to its Opti-blur technology, Magic Blur works like magic on the skin by reducing visibility of facial lines, large pores, and skin roughness in a matter of seconds. It also leaves the face matte, which is great for Filipinas with oily skin. Aside from temporarily blurring those facial imperfections, it eventually reduces the appearance of skin aging after regular use.
It’s hard to believe that such a product finally exists, but L’Oreal made it happen. I’m looking forward to seeing the results once I start incorporating it regularly in my daily skincare routine. Since it also contains retinol, the primary ingredient of Pro-Retinol A (L’oreal’s trademark name for a derivative of Vitamin A), it really does smooth out wrinkles and minimizes fine lines caused by sun damage. Retinol is also an antioxidant that can be absorbed through the skin and helps improve the production of collagen (the skin’s primary building block), which is responsible for making the skin less vulnerable to injury and enhancing its elasticity. (Source: LiveStrong.com) Just be sure to wear sunblock daily (as you should, even if you haven’t incorporated retinol in your regimen yet).
I’ve been using it for a couple of days now, and aside from leaving my face with a matte finish, I like that it acts as a primer as well. I don’t normally wear primers, foundations, concealers or powders on a regular basis, but with the Magic Blur alone, I look and feel fresh! I’m just not too fond of the scent, not because I don’t like it, but because it triggers my allergic rhinitis (it makes me sneeze a few times in the morning). However, I’m more than willing to disregard that if it means making my skin look younger and flawless!
Magic Blur will be available by March 1, 2015 for Php 899 and will be exclusively available in L’Oreal Paris counters and select Watsons stores nationwide.

Hi Greta! I think I saw you here, and I think we’ve been at the same events a few times 😀 I love this cream! I thought it was pure hype but it looks like a fantastic primer and “blur” enough to be worn alone on good skin days. I’m just a bit hesitant of the retinol because i don’t like high maintenance skincare products.

Hi, Tellie! 🙂 Oh really? Yes, I think I’ve seen you in the same events as well! I agree, but I also share the same sentiments about the retinol. I’m hoping it doesn’t cause my skin to react negatively. So far though, it’s been good! 🙂

I hope someday I can be in vain lalo na sa balat. Siguro ganun talaga pag medyo tumatanda pinipilit maging mukang bata. I hope to try something like this.
