Banana Peel: Hello Summer 2018 at Acuatico Beach Resort

With the heat turning up the last two weeks, it’s definitely safe to say that summer has arrived. And what better way to welcome the season than by going on a weekend getaway with a footwear brand that screams summer with its colorful designs—Banana Peel?

Banana Peel creates lifestyle footwear and apparel that inspires positivity, adventure, and self-discovery. They spur you to explore in color, as seen in the many designs of their flip-flops, sandals, and shirts. To highlight this, Banana Peel took a few of us bloggers to Acuatico Beach Resort in Laiya, Batangas during the first weekend of March not only to talk about the thoughtful designs of their footwear that speak to our souls (and soles!), but to also encourage each and every one of us to keep exploring and never lose that zest for adventure.

It was without a doubt a weekend I was looking forward to. From meeting up with everyone in UCC Clockwork near Mall of Asia on Friday morning, to a delicious Filipino lunch at Sulyap Cafe in Laguna, to staying in a poolside villa that overlooked the beach in Acuatico Beach Resort, to the most relaxing massage in Acuatico’s Simona Spa, to a scrumptious dinner buffet while watching the younger bloggers enjoy the karaoke, to doing yoga by the beach during sunrise on Saturday, to another delicious breakfast and lunch buffet—it was exactly the kind of weekend I needed to rest, recharge, and simply enjoy the company of blogger friends like Phylicia and Charlene.

Banana Peel was also very generous in letting us pick several pairs of flip-flops and sandals, and the designs were so adorable that I honestly had a hard time choosing! I got to choose a pair for the Cupcake as well, who told me that he’s impressed with the softness and comfort of it.
