All in the Shoes
Sometimes, what makes or breaks an outfit depends on the shoes we choose. Take it from this CollegeFashionista and Philippine fashion runway model who sported a simple striped shirt, some leggings, and the cutest pair of eye-catching hot pink sandals. The details of her accessories that seemingly match her shoes complete the whole ensemble. The look is very modest, yet something about her gives off such an alluring appeal. It felt very refreshing to just look at her.
At times, we tend to forget that the right pair of shoes can elevate the most basic look. Evencelebrity style icons like Hilary Duff, Heidi Klum and Christina Aguilera have pumped up their casual get-ups with bold red stilettos, flats and peep toes respectively. I’ve done my fair share of experiments, pairing the simplest outfits — like a plain black tee and dark denim — with a pair of daring ballet flats or sandals. It really does create an inexplicable change, so even if you’ve worn a shirt or a blouse more than once, it doesn’t make it obvious when you play with the shoes you wear.
Remember that any clear-cut look can be put to life — it’s just all in the shoes.
