A Review on Pixi’s H20 Skintint
I’ve always been a firm believer that when you have good skin, you no longer need a heavy base for your makeup. In fact, the only times I actually use primer and foundation is when I attend weddings and formal events. When I have more casual get-togethers like lunch or dinner with friends, I usually forego the base and go straight to doing my eyebrows, lashes, and lips.
But on some occasions, especially when it’s that time of the month and my skin isn’t cooperating, and I don’t want to aggravate it further by layering on a heavy base, I use Pixi’s H20 Skintint. It’s a water-based tinted face gel that’s actually been a go-to product of mine for sometime now.
I love that it feels incredibly lightweight on the skin, it gives you enough coverage without it looking unnatural, and it’s infused with beneficial ingredients like green tea, rose water, chamomile and lavender! Green tea provides antioxidants, rose water moisturizes without leaving my face sticky or oily, and the chamomile and lavender soothe the skin.
Pixi currently has three shades available, and I like to use Nude because it’s the closest to my skin tone. It blends really easily, and you don’t even have to use a brush to even it out. You can simply use your fingers and apply it like you would a moisturizer. Although because I’m very particular about my makeup, I like using an oval brush to blend it.
It’s great on its own, but because I have oily skin, I always set it with my RCMA No-Color Powder. Sometimes, I also like to pair it with Pixi’s Colour Correcting Foundation Powder (in the same shade).
You can tell the difference right away when I’m not wearing it as opposed to wearing it. It brightens up my face and makes my complexion look flawless. The best part? It feels weightless! I sometimes forget that I’m wearing a base when I use this product.
So if you’re like me who has oily and sensitive skin, and not fond of using makeup bases, you might want to try Pixi’s H20 Skintint. It’s a little bit pricey at Php 1,190 but it contains 35 ml of the product, which will last you a while. Plus it’s super worth it in my book!
You can get it at SM Mall of Asia and Makati Department Stores, Watsons Mall of Asia GENXT, Landmark Makati and Trinoma, Metro UP Town Center and Alabang Town Center, Purebeauty Trinoma, Serendra and Glorietta 4, CommonThread Power Plant Mall and Greenbelt 5, and the following online stores: Glamourbox, BeautyMNL, and SeekTheUniq.
