A Review on Ofra Cosmetics x MannyMUA Liquid Lipsticks

You guys all know how obsessed I am with Ofra Cosmetics’ Long Lasting Liquid Lipsticks, and the three shades in collaboration with MannyMUA are just super gorgeous! I couldn’t wait to get my hands on them the moment we found out they were launching at the Glamourbox online boutique. #perksofthejob

Another thing exciting about the brand? They finally changed their packaging! To be honest, I wasn’t a fan of the previous one where it looked cheap and the labels got scratched off easily. I have five shades in the old packaging, and all their labels are gone—like when I grab either Laguna Beach or Pasadena, I have to square them off to see which one is which. Have you guys ever encountered the same thing?

Anyway, the new packaging has the shade both on the box and below the tube. It looks a lot glossier now, and I feel like I’m really getting my money’s worth with Php 850 per tube.

Now moving on to Ofra Cosmetics x MannyMUA‘s Liquid Lipsticks: Aries, Hypno, and Charmed!

If you need to complete any of the Liquid Lipstick collections by Ofra Cosmetics, it would be this one. KathleenLights created two shades with them (Miami Fever and Havana Nights), but I’ve only used Havana Nights because Miami Fever looks too orange on me. I love three shades from the California Summer Nights collection (Bel Air, Pasadena, and Santa Ana), but I’m not really into Malibu and Venice (too bright and too drastic). The Summer 2015 collection was filled with pretty pastels, but I keep going back to just the same shades (Rio and Sao Paolo)—I didn’t even bother swatching Panama, Las Vegas, and St. Tropez. Lastly, with the New York Skyline collection, I’ve only tried Manhattan and Queens, because the rest are (again) too drastic or dark (Staten Island, The Bronx, Brooklyn, Fifth Avenue, Times Square, and Harlem).

But the Ofra x MannyMUA collection is the first where I actually want all three shades to myself!

Aries sort of reminds me of Rio, because of the peachy tone to it. It’s a pretty shade to wear during the day. It brightens up the face, and makes you look young and fresh.

Charmed is a beautiful terracotta rose that I love so much. It also reminds me of Maybelline’s Creamy Matte in Touch of Spice.

Hypno is definitely the kind of shade you’d wear on a night out. I think it’s in between Havana Nights and Mina, and though it’s dark, it’s incredibly wearable no matter what your skin tone is! It makes you look extra sultry, too.

If I had to pick just one shade, I would go for Charmed—just because this is the kind of shade that works so well with a lot of makeup looks. I can do a soft look with it, pair it with brown smokey eyes, or even just wear it alone. I love how it can be so versatile.
