A Review on L’Oreal’s Mat Magique Transforming Powder
A Review on L’Oreal’s Mat Magique Transforming Powder
Recently, I received a couple of gifts from L’Oreal Paris Philippines—one of which was the Mat Magique All-In-One Transforming Powder. I was so intrigued by the product. It came in such a cute box, and the fact that it was matte meant that it was made for people with oily or combination skin like me.
Though I do suffer from oily skin, I don’t use pressed powders a lot for fear that I might break out. I’ve tried so many pressed powders in my life, and though some of them really worked and made my skin less oily, they would make my skin break out after a while of using it. So instead of using pressed powders to remove the shine on my face, I resorted to using oil blotters instead.
Lately however, because I found a skin regimen that really works on me and has made me less oily and less prone to breaking out, I don’t feel as afraid using different products like primers, foundations, concealers, and pressed powders.
The L’Oreal Mat Magique Transforming Powder didn’t just impress me, but also my mom and sister. Packaging-wise, I really commend L’Oreal for having a separate area for the sponge. If there’s one thing that causes skin break outs because of pressed powders, it’s due to a dirty sponge. Sponges can accumulate so much bacteria, and imagine placing it on top of your pressed powder each time you use it. This is why it’s important to regularly clean your sponges, even if there’s a separate area for it like L’Oreal’s Mat Magique Transforming Powder.

The product is really compact and easy to place inside a clutch or handbag. When I first opened it, I thought it would feel slightly heavy on my skin but to my surprise, it felt really light! I love any product that doesn’t make me feel like I’m actually wearing it. If you compare my before and after pictures, the full and flawless coverage is evident.
Before and After
Mat Magique is L’Oreal’s answer to highly-motivated women who are always on-the-go because it lets you stay shine-free, worry-free, and flawless for up to 12 hours. I can truly attest to this.
The science behind the magic of Mat Magique is in its formula—made with volcanic perlite, a natural, non-irritating sebum absorber. I love how it makes me look matte all day, and I rarely need to retouch!
Mat Magique will be available in five shades for only Php 499 starting January 1, 2015. Get a chance to win one of two when you join the Greta’s Junkyard Giveaway here!

I’ve heard such good things about this product! But I’m scared that they might not have a shade for me since it only comes in 5 🙁
