A Review on Air Optix Colors Contact Lenses
Let me share with you guys a funny story of how my parents and I discovered that I developed poor eyesight in high school (something I inherited from my paternal grandmother). Back then, I was already playing softball and having played it for years, I was pretty consistent with my skills. I could catch, throw, and hit the ball quite well. And then one day during practice, I had a difficult time hitting balls coming from the pitching machine. Eventually during games, I couldn’t read my coach’s signals from where I stood in the batter’s box—which resulted to me either doing the wrong thing or striking out completely. My coach even talked to my mom and asked her to have my eyesight checked, but because she was in denial, she waited until I actually got hit by the ball straight in the forehead (twice, might I add) before bringing me to our family ophthalmologist.
Being an athlete, I refused to wear glasses because I felt like it would hinder with my playing. So at an early age, I learned how to wear clear contact lenses. I first started with the extended ones before switching to the disposable ones, because extended contact lenses were more prone to protein build up. Wearing contact lenses has been second-nature to me since high school, and when I got an invite to attend Air Optix Colors’ event a couple of weeks ago, it got me really excited. Air Optix is a brand by Alcon, which is also the disinfecting solution I’ve been using since I started wearing contact lenses.
Air Optix Colors are made with a unique surface technology that provides consistent comfort throughout the wearing period. It blends with the eye color really well, making it look natural. I was given the Pure Hazel color (they were nice enough to customize it with my grade, which is 500 for the left and 475 for the right), and according to my family when I first tried it on, the color looked so natural on me. My eyes looked more alive, it brightened up my face, and it complemented my light brown hair nicely.
Wearing Air Optix Colors in Pure Hazel
It’s a great way to enhance your style, especially when you’re feeling a little bold or adventurous. It’s not too much of a drastic change that people won’t recognize you. It just gives you a subtle yet exciting transformation.
Compared to wearing my regular clear contacts, Air Optix Colors felt slightly thicker but still comfortable. It didn’t bother me at all when I wore it the whole day. It even came with a travel-sized Opti-Free Pure Moist Solution, which I now keep inside my bag conveniently just in case my eyes feel dry or tired.
It’s exciting to own a pair of Air Optix Colors contact lenses! I’m even thinking about getting them in other colors, just because I’m so curious to see myself with a different eye color. Haha! Which among the colors below would you like to try?

Hi, Omar. Contact lens cases usually come for free when you buy contacts solution. I use Opti-Free: http://www.opti-free.com/
