1,000 Books
When I was a little girl, I used to go almost everyday to the tiny library of Poveda just to read all the interesting books my tiny hands could find. These books ranged from Sweet Valley to Goosebumps to the Hardy Boys to Little Miss Books to even Children’s Books! I was lucky that my mom invested a lot in books as well. Thanks to her, we currently have a fat bookshelf in our living room oozing with them, and I have my own bookshelf in my room that’s also packed with the ones I bought or really like.
Back then, I’d also sometimes watch Gilmore Girls. I distinctly remember in one episode, Rory made a promise to herself that she would read a number of books in her lifetime. That’s when I decided, as a little girl, that I would try to read at least 100 hundred books before I die. During those days, 100 seemed like a really big number.
Now that I think about that goal, I think I’ve accomplished more than what I had wanted. Counting all the ones I’ve read since I was a little girl, plus high school where I finished light-read books like the A-List series, the Gossip Girl series, the Harry Potter series, and up until college the Sloppy Firsts series, and I shouldn’t forget all the novels I was required to read for school, I’m pretty sure if I added all those up I’d reach more than 100.
Which is why now, I’m posting a new, harder goal for myself. I want to be able to read at least 1,000 books in my lifetime. It sounds impossible, but I think I have enough years left to do it.
I hope and pray for more book sales with more interesting finds. Or if you love me, giving me a book would be really awesome. Hahaha! Right now, I want to start collecting books by Haruki Murakami. Ahem, ahem.

Hi! Do you own Goosebumps books? If yes, are you planning to sell some of those? 🙂

Hi, Nikko! We had a few, but I’m not sure where they are anymore. :)) Most likely my mom donated them already. 🙂
