I think writers can be really scary, because when you mess with them they’ll mess with you back with the one thing they’re really good at—the stories and poems they create. And they have all the power to manipulate it, or twist the story and make it look like they’re the good guys in the end. What’s even scarier is when these things get published and suddenly, the whole world will be able to read what kind of shit the writer was put through, and the whole world will probably empathize with them.
This was just a random thought (because I’m guilty of it) while I was finishing my FA 101 Portfolio last night. We had to write a Creative Process on the short stories we submitted, which basically explains why we wrote what we wrote. We also had to compile pictures of our Research Materials, or in other words people or things that inspired us to write the short stories. And yes, I compiled and printed pictures of real people.
